"I had an emergency on Christmas day. I called the agent a couple days later to get assistance. He refused to answer the phone, even though I texted him and told him it was an emergency. I called him several times…no answer. He finally returned my call after I tried to FaceTime him. This low level of service is unbelievable given that I have been a long-term customer with multiple policies. And to boot, he has mispronounced my name for several years. You would think at some point he would write it in his phone phonetically. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this agent."
We responded:
"I am writing to provide additional context regarding the recent accusation made by Ms. Douglas. While I deeply value the perspectives of all our customers, I believe it is crucial to present accurate information, especially when allegations are made publicly and out of context. During the Christmas holidays, our office was closed. Ms. Douglas had been calling and texting the office number, mistakenly believing it was my personal cell phone. Consequently, I did not receive any of her calls or messages directly. If Ms. Douglas checks the number she was contacting, she will see it was indeed the local office number, not my personal cell. I have explained this to her multiple times. During this period, I was out of state on a Christmas vacation along with the rest of our team. While away, I logged into my computer to check emails and noticed that she had texted the office about an emergency. I immediately responded from my personal cell phone, informing her that the office was closed and providing her with the necessary phone numbers for billing, claims, and customer service. I also inquired whether her issue could wait until the office reopened on Monday. In response, Ms. Douglas attempted to FaceTime me while I was driving. I used voice text to inform her that I would call her back shortly and I couldn't facetime her. Despite my efforts to assist her promptly, she responded with rudeness and disrespect, accusing me of ignoring her eight calls and texts. I reiterated that I was out of state and that she had not been contacting my personal cell phone. Unfortunately, she continued to spue rudeness and disrespect. Given the circumstances, I suggested that she might be happier with a different agent. In my almost 30 years in the insurance business, I have never encountered a situation like this. I regret that this misunderstanding occurred and sincerely hope that Ms. Douglas will find satisfaction in her new location."

"My husband and I have consistently received efficient, accurate, friendly, and thorough service from Chris Godley's State Farm Insurance Agency for many years. We were pleased this week to work with two of their excellent agents, Asia and Mya, to get insurance for a young, new driver. It means a lot to have a dependable agency to turn to with our insurance needs. We also appreciate seeing Chris out and about in Greenville doing benevolent things to help people in our city. "I canceled my policy with State Farm. I emailed Chris Godley and I also called the receptionist to let them know that my policy has been canceled. A few days later, they withdraw the payment out of my account, which caused my account to be over drafted. Have been calling them for a whole week leaving my name and #. NO ONE never called me back. I reached out to ASIA and she did respond. Thank you ASIA for caring. This company would NOT have lasted this long without you. Still have not received my money back, yet....Still waiting 😠"

"Very poor customer service. When you call agency typically need to leave a message and wait for a return phone call, which may happen days/weeks or not at all. I was not receiving any follow up so had to leave work and physically go into office to speak wih agent."

"My experience was less than favorable. I went into the facility with the goal of being add as a driver to an existing policy. One of the employees at this facility was beyond rude and was more focused on being “right” instead of providing excellent customer service. The employee proceeded to add my information into his computer and then says, “okay we’re done”. I had to ask additional questions to gain clarity on the process and timeframe of our request versus him providing this information prior as a way to demonstrate excellent customer service. My review is strictly based on customer service in the hopes Chris provides better customer service training to his staff. Thank you."

"I wanted to say thank you lord, for this great team. I’ve been with State Farm for over a Decade and headed into another . I’ve seen bills come and go but when I say the team that Chris has, goes above and beyond. Mya really rolled the red carpet out. She took an issue not caught by underwriters and stayed on their case until they gave me the best deal for my money. Times are tight with everyone and for her to help my family save ,and then I hear the good news today of how she corrected and made sure I was aware of the changes . Let’s me know I’m at the right place. Chris keep serving GREEENVILLE and Mya Mr. Harris is Grateful for you and Dan thanks 🙏🏾 for always adding my new vehicles lol 😂"
